“Two days ago, my father passed away after a very long, painful, and slow cancer,” reports Leszek. “Just before the moment that he died, I was at his bed in our home with my mother. We noticed that he stopped breathing, and that he kind of opened his eyes, much more clearly, gave one look at me, and one look at my mother. Just as we wanted to panic, his eyes — very clearly, and with precise coardination — rolled up to the top corner of the room behind me. They kept following something, until this something stopped in front of him, almost on top of him. His eyes, were clearly seeing something, and he looked very surprised or maybe even scared. In exactly the same moment, he seemed to feel something coming straight at him, and that is when he got a heart attack. Two seconds later he continued to look at this thing, much more peacefully now, and he got a second attack. After this, he started dying, and his eyes were closing fading away. Everything seemed very relaxed. About a week before his death, he was speaking about two or three of our dead family memebers, telling my mother that ‘Tommorow they are going to work.’”
Thanks, Leszek. The deathbed vision phenomenon is quite fascinating and more common than you might think. We can’t know with utmost certainty whether the dying are seeing passed loved ones coming for them, or if it is just an illusion. But there is some compelling anecdotal evidence for the former, which you can read about in these articles:
